Penguin Student Awards 2020
COMPETITION BRIEF
I chose to focus on John le Carre's popular book The Night Manager. I decided to produce a typographic cover inspired by the many layers within le Carre's book and took a physical approach to this by using a laser cutter and layers of acrylic. I had great fun, hands on and created a solution that was unique and reflected my personal response.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust

City of Culture
Producing hypothetical City of Culture 2025 branding campaign for Derby.
TED Talk Book
For this project I was tasked with designing a book, using the transcripts from any TED Talk lectures as a starting point. The TED Talk that I chose was by professional and legendary Skateboarder Rodney Mullen called 'Pop An Ollie And Innovate' My concept was to use imagery and typography to capture skateboarding's free-flowing movement and ideology (that anyone can pick up a skateboard and have their own unique style. whether they skate street, vert or freestyle and everything in between)
